The house band is made up primarily of members of the Good News Church. Several members of the band play regularly at the Sunday morning services. Others are pulled from various other parts of the church. We don't claim to be the best, but we think our hearts and mostly our heads are in the right place. We enjoy what we do and you can see our love for the music in the way we play. Our main musical influences come from the 80s and 90s rock genre, as well as earlier blues and jazz periods.

Vocals & Guitar: Matt

Matt sings vocals and plays first guitar. He is part of the regular worship group at our church and is heavily influenced by such people as Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Bono/Edge and more. He loves to play guitar and can just about hold his own on the vocals, with a high range that suits his style of music.

Vocals, Piano & Bass: Thom

Thom sings vocals and plays piano, and occasionally the bass. A grade 8 pianist and the only formally qualified musician in our band, he lends his talents to organising us as well as playing. Good at arranging and co-ordinating, as well as holding his own on the bass end of the singing, his influences are far and wide with almost no music he dislikes.

Drums: David

David is usually found running our PA system during the sunday worship. He can play guitar but plays drums for us. Dave is influenced by more modern heavy rock music as well as some of the older rock and roll.

Guitars: Other Matt

Matt is the only non church member of the band. However he comes from a Christian family who worship in the local area. He is an avid musician and compentant guitarist.
